The wooden church from Domnin was built in 1753 by a craftsman from Maramureș. It is the only church from Sălaj built in the wooden church's style from Maramureș, with two eaves laps.

According to the tradition the wooden carved cross from the pronave guards the tomb's founder. The interior of the church is taller than the ones known in Sălaj. The belfry tower has turret with arches.

The entrance decoration frame is decorated only with rope motif as the entrance from the pronave into the nave which is decorated on the sides with the faces of Apostles Saints Petru and Pavel. The iconostasis has only two entries and the support beam is beautifully carved.

In the pronave the allegory of the tenth maiden and scenes about the Doom's day were painted. In the nave there are painted scenes from Christ's life and in the altar the Tree of life appears. The painting was made in 1812 by painter Ioan Prodan.
