In 1470 Archid had a wooden catholic chapel. In 1760 probably a reformed church existed in the present school's place. The nowadays church was built in 1866-1886. The works were led by Wohlfarth Mihaly băimărean painter.

The horizontal church's ceiling is covered with azure cassettes, painted in the same color as the benches are. As we found out Archid doesn't let himself conquered by the new church's color fashion. The heavenly arch and the heaven are azure so it cannot be another color! On the east nave side in the chorus sustained by a structure with archways the organ can be seen, built by Kolonics István dab from Târgu Secuiesc in 1886. In the church's tower high of 24 m were 2 bells made in 1884 and 1886, unfortunately both cracked and were replaced with some new ones.
