Bucea, Wooden church

The Bucea wood church located on Gorban Hill was built in 1791 by the first seven Orthodox families in the village. The event is also engraved on a beam from the entrance to the church. The church, composed of the narthex, nave and altar, is made of oak wood.

The church is covered with shingles. Above the narthex there is the bell tower with an open gallery and a helmet with a square base. Access to the church is done on the south by a beautiful ornate portal with geometric motifs and a rope pattern.

All the construction is surrounded by the rope motif. The interior is decorated with the painting of Dionysius Iuga, made in 1880. The iconostasis is painted by twelve apostles, and in the upper part an oval icon is seen by Jesus Crucified. On the semicircular vault of the nave were painted the four evangelists, and the narthex is decorated with the painting of the five crazy faces and five wise faces.
