One of the most beautiful churches from Sălaj is in Baica village. According to the inscription from the stone gun inside the altar the church was built in 1654 in honor of Saint Archangels.

In the altar the old objects were kept, the wooden sink and priest's chair, a chair with only three legs. It is a rectangular sanctuary, with polygonal apse and has a belfry tower with a turret on the narthex.

Inside the carved decorations and the wooden paintings can be admired made by Ioan Pop in XVIII century and at the entrance the two open hands' sculpture wishes you welcome. The church made in 2004 and the deteriorated elements were replaced, biological protection was made and a thunder rod installation was mounted.
