Ciucea, founded in 1984, is a settlement located on the right bank of Crișul Repede. Hence, in 1848, General Bem's army began to liberate Transylvania. The most important building is Goga Castle built on the hill that rises above the national road.

On this land was once Boncza Castle. Many tourists here are looking for the footsteps of the poet Ady, but he was not in the castle but in the summer building he stayed with his wife in the years spent at Ciucea.
