Oradea, The Reformed Church

The biggest reformed church in eclectic style was projected by Szász József. Even if the project was started in 1836 the works had been delayed first because of the big fire in the town after which because of the revolution of 1848 and the inundation of 1851. It was finished only in 1853 while the tower in 1870. In the eastern tower there is one of the biggest bells of Oradea with a weight of 3600 kg.
